What is YOOZ TopUp?

  1. YOOZ TopUp allows Bmobile prepaid customers to top up their phones and other Bmobile prepaid phones, directly from their Republic Bank Limited bank account or any CREDIT / VISA card account, anytime anywhere.
  2. Bmobile post-paid customers can also use this service to top up Bmobile prepaid users from their Republic Bank account or credit card account.

How is this possible?

  1. Once you register for the service you can follow the steps below to top up.
    1. Dial *190# and press send
    2. Select option 1 “Top Up my mobile” and press send
    3. Enter the amount you wish to top up e.g. 10 and press send
    4. The top up amount will be displayed on the screen. Press 1 to confirm the amount and press send
    5. Enter your 4 digit passcode and press send

    You will receive a confirmation text message with a reference number and your phone will be credited with the top up amount you requested

Is there a shorter way that I can top up my phone?

  1. Yes, there is a Yooz.topUp short cut that you can also use to top up your phone.
    1. Dial from your Bmobile prepaid phone “*190*topupamount#” and press send
    2. Enter (1) to confirm the amount of top up and press send
    3. Enter your (4) Digit security pass code – press send
    4. You will receive a confirmation text message with a reference number and your phone will be credited with the top up amount you requested.

    E.g. If you are purchasing $19.00 in top up you enter… *190*19#). You will then be prompted to confirm your top up amount and then enter your four (4) digit pass code (e.g. 0000). You will receive a confirmation text with a reference number and your phone will be credited $19.00.

What should I do if I don’t receive the top up confirmation SMS?

Sometimes text messages may take longer to be delivered to your phone, you can wait a few minutes. While waiting you can check the account balance on your phone by dialing*120# and press send. If you received the top up, the message is probably delayed.

Do I need to use reference number in the confirmation text?

You may use the reference number in case you have a query.

What is the registration procedure?

The registrar agent will:

  1. Enter your Bmobile prepaid number on the terminal (twice for confirmation)
  2. Ask you to create a 4 digit passcode (twice for confirmation)
  3. Swipe your Republic Bank debit card or credit card (whichever they decide to use)
  4. If you used your debit card you will be required to enter your RBL bank pin
  5. You will receive a text message on your phone confirming you are registered
  6. The Republic Bank representative will then ask you to purchase a top up to ensure you understands how to use YOOZ TopUp
  7. The Republic Bank representative will give you a YOOZ TopUp instructional wallet guide to keep for ease of use

Does this registration have an expiry date?

It does not have an expiry date.

What if I lost or changed my phone?

Once you do not change your phone number the top up transactions will continue to work, if you do change your phone number you will need to re-register for the service.

Is there a cost to registration?

There is no cost to register for YOOZ TopUp.

Can I send credit to someone from my top up balance using YOOZ TopUp?

No, you cannot send credit to someone else’s phone from your top up balance using this service.

Is there a maximum or minimum amount of top up I can purchase?

There is a minimum of $10 per top up transaction and a maximum of $200 per top up transaction. Also there is a maximum of $500 top up per day.

If someone steals my phone can they top up?

No, your YOOZ TopUp access is protected by the passcode you created during registration.

What happens if I forget my passcode?

You will need to re-register.

  1. You can dial *190# send.
  2. Select option 3 “My Account” and press send.
  3. Select option 3 “Forgot pass code” and press send.
  4. Information will then be displayed on your phone screen with some of the authorized outlets where you can re-register.

What happens if I enter the wrong passcode?

If the wrong code is entered 5 times consecutively you will be barred from topping up. You will need to re-register for the.

Can I change my top up pass code?

Yes you can. To change passcode follow the simple steps below:

  1. Dial *190# and press send
  2. Select option 3 “My Account” and press send
  3. Select option 2 “Change Pass code” and press send
  4. Enter your current 4 digit pass code and press send
  5. Type in your new 4 Digit pass code and press send
  6. Confirm your new pass code by entering it again and press send
  7. You will receive a message stating the pass code has been successfully changed.
  8. Dial *190# to top up.

Where can I register for this service?

Registration can be done at any branch of Republic Bank nationwide as well as other advertised locations.

If the machine is not working at the registration location what do I do?

  1. Contact our help desk on 6254785 etx1 for assistance on where the next closest registration point to where they are located or
  2. Refer to answer (a-d) in question 16 for registration locations.

Can I register multiple bank cards to my phone number?

No. Only one card can be registered to a phone number.

If I already registered one bank and decide that I will like to use a different bank card for this service, what should I do?

Visit the nearest registration location to where you are and re-register for the service. The last registration always overwrites the one before making the last registration the only active one.

Can I use my Linx PIN as the passcode for YOOZ TopUp?

There are NO additional charges; you only pay for the top up being purchased. E.g. you are buying $10 top up, you pay $10.

What if I lost my credit or debit card?

Once you get a new card, you must re-register for the service.

Do I see these transactions in my bank statements?

Yes, these transactions will be clearly stated as “BYOOZ TopUp” in your bank statements.

If someone gets my passcode can they access my bank account?

They can access it if they have your phone.

I registered with my credit card and saw on my statement that I was charged $1. What was this for?

During the registration process for Credit Card users, the bank is sent a request to verify that the Credit Card being registered is in good standing with the bank; i.e. not stolen, is within limit etc. The $1 is not charged to the account but is held for a maximum of 10 days as banking policy until the card is proven valid.
